When I look out over the United States, I see true Americans. I see people who make this country work. I see people who believe that we can all reach our potential—so long as weighty regulations, overbearing government and outrageous taxes don’t stand in our way!

Among my core beliefs is a profound respect for individuality. I love the fact that our founding documents articulate that we are each given certain absolute rights. Primary among these rights are LIFE, LIBERTY (which is freedom), and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

Recently, a burden has come on me for our kids and grandkids. I want them to have the same opportunities afforded you and me—to work hard and reap the fruit of our labor. I want to do my utmost to ensure that everyone has the freedom to strive for their part of the American Dream.

I believe that the people of Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District desire an honest, open dialogue on how to tackle successfully the difficult problems our country now faces—a dialogue that truly includes them. Voters currently find themselves discontented with government leaders who position themselves politically or ideologically, while failing to address tremendous problems that get worse by the day.

I intend to win this campaign by sticking closely to the issues. I want nothing more than to see America, specifically Wisconsin, succeed and flourish. As you read my positions on the issues, you'll find that I'm proposing common-sense solutions that will not only get us through the tough times but also restore an environment in which businesses and families can thrive.

As an entrepreneur and business owner, I have learned to work with others, set goals, and get things done. I’ve also learned to hold tightly to my principles. The problems we face today are too big, and our time too short, to sit silent while others lead us in a wrong direction. But only principled leadership can make a difference.
